Adorkable (ah-dor-kuh-bul): Descriptive term meaning to be equal parts dorky and adorable. For reference, see Sally Spitz.

Seventeen-year-old Sally Spitz is done with dating. Or at least, she's done with the horrible blind dates/hookups/sneak attacks her matchmaking bestie, Hooker, sets her up on. There's only so much one geek girl and Gryffindor supporter can take.

Her solution: she needs a fake boyfriend. And fast.

Enter Becks, soccer phenom, all-around-hottie, and Sally's best friend practically since birth. When Sally asks Becks to be her F.B.F. (fake boyfriend), Becks is only too happy to be used. He'd do anything for Sal--even if that means giving her PDA lessons in his bedroom, saying she's "more than pretty," and expertly kissing her at parties.

The problem: Sally's been in love with Becks all her life--and he's completely clueless.

This book features two best friends, one special edition Yoda snuggie, countless beneath-the-ear kisses and begs the question:

Who wants a real boyfriend when faking it is so much more fun?

Adorkable...

This book was nothing short of sweet perfection. I loved every minute of it, and I would love nothing more than to read another book with these wonderful characters. Cookie O'Gorman was born to be a writer, and I hope to see her name on many more books to come.  Adorkable had a life of it's own, and I very much enjoyed living in it for a little while.

Sally Spitz has been matchmaked to death. Between her mom and her best friend Hooker, she has had enough. It isn't that Sally doesn't like boys. The problem is, she has and always will be in love with her best friend, Becks. Perfect, beautiful, soccer star Becks who always has a girl or two on his arm, or rubbing his handsome face.  How could she ever compete with these bombshells, with her Yoda snuggie, Gryffindor jersey, and love of all things Star Wars? But even though she can never tell him how she really feels about him, she can ask him to be her F.B.F (Fake Boyfriend). At least for a month, which should be long enough to get her mom and Hooker to lay off the matchmaking. Becks agrees wholeheartedly, but getting Hooker to believe it will take some skill. And being Becks girlfriend, even if it isn't real, might be more than Sally can handle. Especially with his private lessons, and the sweet little kisses behind her ear. And those looks he gives her occasionally. Man, what has she gotten herself into?!

Sally is one of the best characters that I have come across in a couple of years. I loved her top to bottom, inside and out. Smart, goody, self-deprecating, she is one of a kind. One of my favorite things about her is that she speaks German when she gets mad, and doesn't even realize it. She accepts herself for who she is, and never once tries to be someone she isn't. Her love for Becks is sweet as pie. The scenes they share together melted my heart. Sometimes I just wanted to scream at them both, but it all worked out so perfectly! Hooker is a great bff, though most definitely misguided. Even though everything she does for Sally is out of love, it was over the top. But she was a great best friend. I loved all of the relationships. Sally and Becks have known each other for a long time and their families are close. Their interactions are fun to read. Finally, I have to mention Ash, but I can't say too much about him. He seems like a jerk, but I loved him hard by the end of the story. He was exactly what Sally needed, and I appreciated Cookie even more for bringing him more into focus. I am hoping for a companion!!!

Adorkable is a fun, quirky, fast-paced read. I flew through it in an afternoon because I just couldn't put it down. It is full of all the best things! Cookie O'Gorman has something special indeed, and I look forward to seeing what she has for us next! I am more than glad that I took a chance with this perfectly Adorkable story!
