For Natalie Stewart, a normal life has never seemed so far away. Her only solace, Lord Jonathan Denbury, is wanted for murder. To clear his name, Denbury must return to England and assume the role of his demon doppelganger. But Natalie begins to doubt his true motives, especially as a new gentleman begins whispering in her ear. Natalie and Denbury may be able to visit each other in their dreams, but they can't escape the darkening shadows. Amid spontaneous explosions, friends turned enemies and dangerous secrets revealed, there's still a demon who has Natalie's scent, and someone is trying to resurrect the ultimate evil.

Author Interview
1. What books really inspired you into becoming an author?
As a child: Edgar Allan Poe, Narnia, Lord of the Rings, The Phantom of the Opera, Jane Austen, Edith Wharton. In college, Harry Potter inspired me like nothing else had since those early favourites.
2. What is your favorite part of writing a novel? (For example, the characters, the clothing and setting, etc)
Getting to know my characters and placing them into beautiful, striking and/or spooky settings. When the movie of the novel that runs in my mind really comes to life and I know I've set a beautiful stage.
3. What books are YOU excited about currently?
I need to get through some research books for my next Gaslamp Fantasy saga, THE ETERNA FILES, but then I can't wait to dive into The Casual Vacancy.
4. Who is Jonathon's character based on? How about Natalie?
Jonathon's character has a tie to The Picture of Dorian Gray due to the haunted painting aspect, but I wrote him to be a generally nice guy. There are so many YA books where the hero is this aloof / crazy / stalker-ish ***hole and I just wanted to write a book where the hero is just a good, kind, intelligent gentleman. Nice guys do win.
Natalie just came at me like a ton of bricks. She's her own woman, feisty and bold and far more brave than I am.
5. I know you LOVE fashion- design me your dream outfit that would fit in the world of your novel!
My dream outfit is Natalie's beautiful black dress I describe at the end of Twisted Tragedy, a gorgeous, corseted, bustled, layered skirt Victorian Gothic gown made of beautiful fabrics with rich detail.
